Kate Spade polka dots
Today is day 3 of wearing this mani, and I went into the Kate Spade shop in Yorkdale mall... I stopped in my tracks when I saw this iPhone case, which 100% matched my nails! hah, talk about reverse inspiration. I am a sucker for polka dots, so naturally I couldn't leave the case behind.

NOTD: Foxy
Foxy! I have a thing for animal prints... Not your typical animal prints, like zebra stripes and leopard spots. I love prints that feature the whole animal. My favourite scarf is covered in zebras. I have a cute dress that is covered in mini cat silhouettes. Today I rocked both of these articles of clothing, with these nails and my elephant charm necklace. Hah, I love my style!
Thanks to Emery and Ivory, whose original foxes inspired my manicure. I love Pinterest!

Bananas!
I love Polish You Pretty (just got their new book!) and tackled their Andy Warhol-inspired tutorial... Love it!
07/27/2013 Edit: I visited Pittsburgh this week and went to the Andy Warhol Museum... I redid this manicure and was flattered that it got noticed! My friend and I spent a good 5 hours at the museum. Such a fun and interactive experience!

Modrian nails
I've admired Modrian's artwork for a long time. I got to see his paintings at the MoMA in New York:
I love Kate Spade's Modrian-inspired Spring 2013 collection:
And I think that Modrian nail art is the coolest:
I finally worked up the courage to do them myself. This tutorial, although in Korean, was super easy to follow thanks to great photos. A little bit of striping tape goes a long way.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to those of you who stumble across my very-neglected blog!
My NYE mani was super glittery and gold. I wore Incoco nail strips in Stardust, and layered OPI's Golden Eye on the tips for some extra sparkle.
I've used Incoco strips a few times in the past. I prefer them over Sally Hansen strips... they are more flexible, and come in a wider range of (better!) styles. They are about the same cost as Sally strips, and last long, too. I got mine at Vaughan Mills shopping mall at their booth. They are worth checking out!
Cheers to 2013 :)
-Hayley
